About the Role
Unity is seeking an organized, reliable, and warm-hearted Administrative Assistant to serve as the welcoming face and central support for our spiritual community. This role provides essential administrative, communication, and recordkeeping support to ensure that our operations flow smoothly and our mission continues to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and welcoming first point of contact for visitors, guests, and community members.
- Manage office administration, correspondence, scheduling, and records.
- Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries; maintain membership database and communication lists.
- Prepare bulletins, presentations, announcements, and other materials for services and events.
- Handle financial contributions, including depositing Sunday collections, managing contributions, and forwarding records to the bookkeeper and Board Treasurer.
- Maintain accurate church records—both physical and digital—under the supervision of the Director of Operations.
- Assist with newsletters, website updates, and social media postings.
Reports To: Director of Operations
Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday. Weekly up to 24 hours, to be negotiated.
Compensation: $17-$22/hour, depending on experience and skill-set.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a welcoming demeanor.
- Strong organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools).
- Comfort with managing digital records.
- Prior administrative or office management experience preferred.
