 thed"\nSaturday April 18th  7PM\nElectro-acoustic chamber musicians Fuse
Ensemble\n$20 Click for tickets\nunEarthed examines societal notions of hu
manity's dominion over the earth and the ensuing exploitation by integrati
ng sounds from Virginia’s waterways into new works by contemporary class
ical composers. This performance acknowledges our need to reawaken our abi
lity to meaningfully connect with our life-sustaining planet and offers mo
ments of connection to the Earth\, each other\, and the divine feminine\,
often lost in our inherited and illusory ideas of separateness. Through co
llective moments of transformation and connection\, we look to find our pa
th homeward through a creatively imaginative and inspiring experience of l
ive music and visuals. \nAbout Fuse Ensemble: Fuse Ensemble is a unique e
lectroacoustic chamber music ensemble. Each season a concept is presented\
, giving voice to new music composers and creating musical happenings with
visual elements of live or interactive video\, electronics or kinetic ins
tallations. They joyfully collaborate with sculptors\, visual artists\, in
 strument makers\, poets.  \n \nEcology &amp\; Beauty: Creating a Lanscap
 e that Welcomes Wildlife &amp\; People\nSaturday April 25th 9 AM-Noon\nWor
kshop with Sarah F. Jayne\n$20 Click for Tickets\nNow more than ever our y
ards and community spaces need to support biodiversity. How can we ensure
that our spaces are both ecologically rich and beautiful. We’ll look at
which plants matter most when it comes to your local biodiversity: how to
procure them for generous plantings\; and how to place them to increase th
eir appeal to wildlife and people\, along with strategies to protect wildl
ife our natural plantings attract. We’ll consider strategies to ensure t
hat our landscapes gain community acceptance such that they become invitat
ions for others to transform their landscapes. This cost-conscious. DIY ap
proach makes taking actions doable. Ideal audience: People who are startin
g to transition their spaces to more wildlife-friendly habits and who are
interested in supporting biodiversity within an HOA or traditionally lands
caped neighborhood.  \nAbout the Facilitator: Sarah F. Jayne is an enviro
nmentalist\, educator\, and life-long gardener who has worked for over 45
years from California to the East Coast. Her book\, “Nature’s Action G
uide: How to Support Biodiversity and Your Local Ecosystem” is a compani
on to Doug Tallamy’s “Nature’s Best Hope: A New Approach to Conserva
tion That Starts in Your Yard” and features fifteen actions we urgently
need to take that starts in your yard to support biodiversity.  \n \nFor
